I have been a media marketing professional having worked with magazines such as Business & Economy and 4Ps। My latest stint with the corporate world included handling marketing for Steel RX - a steel trading company. Recently, I changed streams in order to pursue a passion for wildlife and nature... I have started a production venture - Jolly Productions and have been trying to bring together like-minded people from varied walks of life - and spread awareness about environment and wildlife conservation through the medium of short films... I certainly believe that the future of Indian wilderness lies in the youth of our country and it is a pleasure working with them! Born in Chhindwara (MP) {I bet most of you have never heard of this place... it lies in the periphery of popular jungles like Pench Tiger Reserve, Kanha National Park and hillstations like Pachmadi},

I have had a close association with the wild since my childhood. The love and fascination for forests and wildlife grew leaps and bounds after marriage - my husband being an equally avid wildlife lover. Have just finished a film on elephants in Jim Corbett National Park. The 17 minutes educational film is available in VCD/DVD format. Currently having tied up with a lucknow-based NGO to work for the cause of wildlife conservation through the medium of films and am working on few more projects on Jim Corbett National Park - one of which is scheduled to finish by 2007 end. Leading wildlife and enviromentalists have rightly stated that the lack of awareness on the part of the general public has been the prime cause of failure of many conservation programs. As a young professional, I on behalf of my team welcome you all to support the cause by contributing intellectually, financially or in any other suitable manner and help the generation next to witness the supreme wilderness which fascinates people from across the globe! Looking forward to networking with like minded people.. Kahini Ghosh Mehta kahinighosh@rediffmail.com
